I love these fiberglass grates! You could use them as a cool shade structure in either a horizontal or vertical application. Nice variety of colors and sizes plus the fiberglass won't retain the heat. If you are thinking about certifying your project under the USGBC LEED program you should get points for the recycled content and possibly for shading hardscape elements. Around the yard you could attach them to a wall and grow some vines on the or use them with a small footing for a neat low garden wall.
