Water Pipe Siding
How about some old water pipes for your new siding? Yes this is reclaimed redwood lumber from old wooden water pipes. Great burgundy patina, would look great indoors or out. Should qualify for material reuse and maybe regional materials for LEED credits.

Paper Countertops?
Keeping on the recycled paper theme, how about a countertop made of paper? The paper is mixed with resin then "cooked" into a sheet material. It's heat resistant to 350 degrees and fairly scratch resistant. If you are doing a LEED project you would pick up points for rapidly renewable materials, recycled content, low emitting materials and possibly regional materials depending on where the project is.

Homasote the OG
The "original green" material Homasote has been around for over 100 years. It's made of 100% post consumer recycled paper mixed with binders and formed into a 4'x8'x1/2" thick sheet material. It makes an interesting alternative wall or ceiling material and can be left natural, sanded to resemble gray suede or painted.
Great Grates!
I love these fiberglass grates! You could use them as a cool shade structure in either a horizontal or vertical application. Nice variety of colors and sizes plus the fiberglass won't retain the heat. If you are thinking about certifying your project under the USGBC LEED program you should get points for the recycled content and possibly for shading hardscape elements. Around the yard you could attach them to a wall and grow some vines on the or use them with a small footing for a neat low garden wall.
